The Makerere Innovation and Incubation Center (MIIC) Freshers Session is an introductory engagement designed to welcome new students and innovators to the MIIC Community and ecosystem. The session provides participants with an overview of MIIC’s mission, programs, and opportunities for collaboration, equipping them with the knowledge and inspiration to actively engage in innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
During the session, attendees are introduced to:
MIIC’s role in fostering innovation, incubation, and startup development in Uganda.
Available programs such as training workshops, mentorship, prototyping support, and access to funding opportunities.
Success stories from previous innovators and startups nurtured at MIIC.
Networking opportunities with peers, industry experts, and the innovation community.
The MIIC Freshers Session not only orients participants to available resources but also ignites their creativity, encouraging them to explore problem-solving and product development from their first day at the university. It serves as a gateway for freshers to integrate into Uganda’s growing innovation ecosystem.
